I have been taking Prozac for about 2-3 years. I take Prozac 60 MG per day (3-20mg capsules). This seems to be more than most or all of the ratings. I take it along with occasional Xanax. I also take Adderall for adult ADHD. This Prozac combination has been extremely helpful in helping me ba able to cope with my issues. I would be interested in hearing about any other people who take a larger Prozac dosage. TY …B.

Took Prozac in the 1980s. Prozac worked great for about a year, then I was right back where I started with depression. There are better drugs out there now–I wouldn’t take it again except for withdrawal symptoms when switching off drugs such as Effexor XR. Prozac has a long half life and it does have a use for coming down off the new designer antidepressants.
